Tried to get in one last thrifting trip before I go back to the left coast for Christmas vacation and I'm glad I did! I didn't buy a whole lot but I got a couple things I'm really happy with!

A Honey Holiday

Current Mood: awake

I just finished decorating my house for the holiday, skipping a tree this year. These Santas are one of my favorite things, I found them at a small conisgment store for just $2.
Most of my decorations I bought at flea markets, thrift stores or Target! Lots more pics posted today on my blog.

Found these vintage purses at Goodwill. Paid $19.99 each, a little more than I'm used to paying at the thrift store, but I couldn't pass them up.

Vintage purses and vintage coats are my weaknesses. What is your thrift-y weakness?

Two Christmas Thrifts!

Posted by [info]radteacherally in [info]thriftwhore on 2009.12.10 at 18:19
I've been cutting WAY back on my thrifting lately. I'm moving to a new apartment that is very tiny...and not knick-knack friendly. Only a few things to show! Sorry that the pictures are so big. I can't figure out how to make them smaller. The new format on the site is throwing me. Can anyone help?

Japanese made vintage Christmas Angel! I've been looking for one of these! I got her for 29 cents at the Salvation Army.

Two hand painted ceramic Chrismas Elves!!!! These have been sitting at the Salvo for weeks. My mom kept looking at them...and so I was I. We didn't know that we had both been looking at them until she said "Hey, guess what I got you at the Salvo? The coolest elves!" That's when I said...OMG the elves!!!" They were 99 cents each.

I went thrifting last weekend with my MIL and SIL, this past Thursday I went with my friend Photobucketpinksugarichigo, and then again on Friday with my Mom & niece Makaylah. I am addicted when it comes to hunting for cute clothes and other stuff. I'm always a sucker for simple t-shirts just to wear with jeans and purses (not saying I don't like anything else, LOL!!!). I bought a lovely dress and black elastic waist belt which I didn't get around to taking a photo of it yet as I let my Mom borrow it. She thought it was cute and wanted to wear it to a dance last night. Unfortunately, it was super cold so she ended up wearing dress slacks instead.

Enough of my rambling onto the pics... )

Help With Record Player

I got this record player at Goodwill for $10. I plugged it in and it spun so I bought it.

However, I'm not sure if it works. It keeps teasing me. I need your help. Or you can just click the cut to admire how awesome it is.
